The Hyster heavy-capacity forklift is equipped with a special built forkpositioner & sideshift carriage with quick-exchange system enabling the forklift to operate with hook-on forks and a coil-boom. UnikTruck also delivered an 1800 mm coil-boom which was shipped along with the forklift. The majestic Hyster forklift will be used for general steel-handling and dedicated coil-handling with the boom.

The unit was dismantled in 1 big self-propelled piece and forks and coil-boom were placed on a wooden structure on top of the counterweight. The forklift was shipped by RORO vessel directly from our premises in Hamburg and will arrive in a seaport in Northern Spain, from where the Hyster forklidt will be transported with heavy low-loader to its final destination.
PDI and final quality-testing was performed by in-house specialists before departure to Spain. The unit was on stock at time of first contact, and so UnikTruck was able to deliver this turn-key solution in only 10 days after initial contact. The Kalmar DRF450 series reachstacker with a wheelbase of 7500mm was refurbished thoroughly in our dedicated workshop in Hamburg prior to delivery. Among other things a brand new particle-filter system was installed to ensure a minimum of exhaust pollution.

The customer sent 4 people from its own technical- and quality department and a thorough hand-over was performed. The Kalmar unit was selected due to its excellent condition and low hours of usage.

The unit was dismantled in 5 pieces in our workshop in Hamburg, and subsequently sent by road on heavy-capacity low-loaders through the Alps. The dismantling in 5 pieces was necessary to attain the correct weight and size in order to pass through the Alps, where heavy road construction work is going on. Due to traffic restrictions around Brenner the equipment was 2 weeks underway to its final destination.

Once on-site in Switzerland the basic Kalmar unit was re-assembled by our trained specialists with the assistance of two mobile-cranes from a local supplier, and put into immediate intermodal container-handling operation. The unit will run on a full-service contract for the next many years – also handled by UnikTruck. Yet another example of our wide and deep competence when it comes to specialized heavy-duty lifting.

UnikTruck has just completed delivery of a 45 ton SveTruck heavy capacity forklift to a major concrete factory in Germany.

The big forklift will be used to handle pre-fabricated concrete buildings and garages from factory to stocking facility. The forklift will handle concrete buildings via chains from above and was therefore equipped with a 6500mm full-freelift mast.
The SveTruck was delivered on a rental-contract will full service and training package included. UnikTruck was able to deliver the turn-key solution in just 11 days after initial enquiry.
This delivery also marked the virgin-voyage for our new medium-heavy low-loader. UnikTruck recently purchased a MAN TGX 8×4 tractor and a 4-axle Faymonville Megamax low-loader. This combination, which can load and transport total weights up to 50 ton, was used for this particular delivery for the very first time. In the next weeks we expect delivery of a Volvo FH16 750 10×4 tractor and a 6-axle Notebook low-loader with inter-dolly – specially built for our requirements. This combination will allow us to transport loads weighing up to 90 ton.

The customer already had one 28 ton SveTruck forklift in operation, which had become too big for the current lifting needs. So the customer was looking for an extremely durable and robust 16 ton second-hand forklift with immediate delivery – and above all with an ultra-compact physical measures. Heden was a long-time specialist in the development and manufacturing of medium-heavy forklifts from 4–16 ton capacity. The company was renowned for a no-nonsense approach to quality and is widely regarded as one of the genuine high-quality factories in the industry.

They specialized in the production and surface treatment of huge wind-mill steel towers for both on- and off-shore applications.

The Kalmar DRF450 series reachstackers with a wheelbase of 7500mm were prepared and adapted thoroughly in our dedicated workshop in Hamburg prior to delivery. Among other things the units were reinforced and converted to 70 metric ton capacity including full software re-programing by Kalmar. Also a dedicated 360 degree rotating swivel and c-hooks with a capacity of 100 metric tons were installed.

The units were dismantled in 3 pieces in our workshop in Hamburg, and subsequently sent by road on heavy-capacity low-loaders to a nearby port, from where they were shipped onward by roro vessel. The dismantling in 3 pieces was necessary to obtain the correct weight and size in order to get the necessary transport permits.

Once on-site the basic Kalmar units were re-assembled by our trained specialists with the assistance of two mobile-cranes from a local supplier, and put into immediate windmill handling operation. The two Kalmar reachstackers represent a brand new and versatile way of moving heavy oversize steel structures. The units will operate in longitudinal tandem-drive with a speed of 5 km/h with steel towers weighing up to 135-140 tons dead weight. The units will run on a rental contract with full-service package for the next years – also handled by UnikTruck. This new combination has just completed delivery of a series of 45 – 52 ton forklifts to customers in Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland.

Ljungby native and forklift veteran Björn Fritzell joins the team.

The new addition is Björn Fritzell and with more than 25 years of experience working with heavy duty forklifts, he is one of the industry’s most experienced individuals.

The aim of the UnikTruck Scandinavia is to bring the company closer to its customers in Finland, Norway, Sweden and Iceland.

Despite the Covid-19 situation and the risk of more volatile market the addition of Björn is something that came as natural development for UnikTruck.

UnikTruck opened their Malmö office during the Covid-19 pandemic and Björn believes that speaks to the great collaboration in the company and Nordics in general.“Despite the difficulty of the last few months we have managed to set up our new Sweden office. This time the customer was looking for a good-as-new, second-hand 25 ton capacity forklift with immediate delivery – and above all with all essential parts fully refurbished. The choice was a well-kept SveTruck 25120-42 from 1987. The machine was completely dismantled and underwent a full check-list controlled refurbishment including overhaul of engine, transmission, mast and steering axle. Finally the machine was painted in brand new SveTruck red/white paint & livery.

The forklift fleet was delivered and put into operation in August 2016. The three SveTruck forklifts were refurbished thoroughly in our dedicated workshop in Hamburg before delivery. The requirement of the customer was fully refurbished second-hand equipment in high quality and with an immediate delivery time.
